Strengthening grassroots networks and organizations through the Field Support Notice #Boletim 07 2026

Wednesday, May 19, 2026

Hello!

Did you know that ISER has a Call for Proposals Is it aimed exclusively at individuals, groups, and organizations that have participated in training programs offered by the institution?

This initiative stems from a commitment to strengthening those who work directly in the territories, mobilizing networks, forging partnerships, producing knowledge, promoting rights, and building pathways for social transformation from the grassroots level.

The call for applications includes participants from the training programs. Axé-Amém, I have faith in the climate, I have faith in the waters, faith in the power that comes from the grassroots, and warriors for liberation. The goal is to provide institutional support and a small financial contribution to strengthen organizations, leaders, and social movements working in different areas. These are projects that address urgent and fundamental issues for society, such as climate, democracy, combating religious intolerance and racism, decarceration, and access to rights.

Launched in October 2025, the “Call for Proposals to Support the Field” was finalized in December 2025 and selected 21 projects in 12 Brazilian states, distributed among the Southeast, Northeast, and North regions of the country. In total, R$150,000 was allocated in institutional and financial support, with contributions ranging from R$5,000 to R$10,000 per initiative. The next Support Grant will open in 2027.

More than just a financial incentive, the call for proposals represents a concrete investment in the power of community networks, collectives, and grassroots organizations that work daily to defend rights and build real impact in their territories.

Among ISER's strategies is the strengthening of civil society movements and initiatives committed to promoting rights. By creating the Call for Proposals for Support in the Field, ISER reaffirms its mission to mobilize networks and collectives, expand and improve public debates, and support leaders and organizations that use collective action as a tool for transformation.

Strengthening those at the grassroots level strengthens democracy, social justice, and collective pathways to the future. ISER recognizes that when people and communities have the support to continue mobilizing in the present, it is possible to generate a positive impact on society.
