Are you interested in engaging in dialogue and carrying out awareness-raising actions about the climate emergency through the connection between faith and climate? Then we have an opportunity for you!
ISER is now accepting applications for the mini-course. I Have Faith in the Climate: Religious communities facing climate change!
Promoted by the initiative Faith in the Climate, This mini-course connects knowledge about the climate crisis with different spiritual perspectives on the relationship between faith and the environment. It also addresses community mobilization to confront the climate emergency through the engagement of faith groups.
The mini-course is online and free. Each session will last two hours and will take place on Mondays in August from 7 pm to 9 pm (Brasilia/DF time), starting on August 10th. The classes will be taught by one or more facilitators who will address topics such as: climate crisis, environmental racism, climate justice, and experiences of mobilization and engagement of faith communities to confront the climate crisis.
Who can participate?
People over 18 years of age who have internet access, are available on Mondays from 7 pm to 9 pm, and have an interest in environmental and/or climate issues, as well as a desire to carry out environmental actions in dialogue with faith communities.
