Today, March 14, a day of resistance and in memory of the execution of Marielle Franco and Anderson Gomes, the Right to Memory and Racial Justice Initiative – IDMJR and the Institute of Religious Studies – ISER invite militants, social movements and civil society organizations to participate in the Memory, Reparation and Racial Justice Course, which will take place on March 29, 2023, at the headquarters of the Marielle Franco Institute.
The activity aims to contribute to the consolidation of the device of memory as a way to produce reparation and racial justice. The meeting will be divided into two complementary moments: training workshops and a discussion seminar.
The course was designed and built as a space to mobilize experiences of memory promotion and accumulation of strategies in the struggle for reparation policies in response to state violence.
