What can we build when different struggles meet? #Boletim 14 2026

Wednesday, September 2, 2026

Hello!

What can we build when different struggles intersect?

In an election year like this, we see how religion, politics, climate justice, human rights advocacy and democracy These are not separate agendas. ISER recognizes that they intersect in people's lives and in the territories all the time.

Throughout 2025, these meetings guided our actions. We produced knowledge, worked to strengthen leadership and territories, and built networks to continue contributing to a more democratic, just, and pluralistic society.

We have expanded our production of knowledge on religion, politics, education, and society with important qualitative and quantitative research, and we remain dedicated to analyzing and understanding how different transformations in the religious field and diverse religious practices influence the social and political dynamics of the country. We have strengthened our training processes for religious leaders and communities in an effort to... to qualify the debate about religion in the public life of Brazilians.

Observing relationships in the country requires a close look at the justice system, especially the impacts of mass incarceration and punitive agendas. In 2025, ISER also dedicated itself to training processes for family members of incarcerated individuals, in addition to... intensify coordination and participation in strategic spaces for political influence..

The road to COP30 marked the year 2025, with a great mobilization of faith communities and a focus on youth. The Interreligious Vigils for the Earth consolidated an extensive network committed to caring for the environment.

Our different areas of operation exist to building collective responses to problems that affect us all, directly or indirectly., Yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Every move ISER has made throughout 2025 has been the result of encounters and the sharing of experiences with the communities we work with daily. We thank everyone who is part of this journey!

Learn more about our actions on our Institutional Report 2025. The publication brings together other data and stories that help to contextualize our work and understand the paths we have taken.

A hug,
