The Interfaith Rainforests Initiative works to bring moral urgency and faith-based leadership to ending deforestation. The alliance has the participation of five countries: Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Peru and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which together are home to more than 70% of the world's remaining tropical forests.

Goals
Provide the training and tools needed to build effective advocates for the protection of rainforests and their native peoples.
Create opportunities for diverse religious groups to speak together in defense of rainforests and indigenous peoples.
Mobilize leadership commitment to translate and share these learnings within their faith communities.
Focus on public and private sector initiatives in countries that are part of the initiative.
