The high rates of violence against women have demanded innovative, effective and measurable solutions from governments and civil society to overcome this uncomfortable situation. Nowadays, rightly so, deaf responses such as payment of fines, food baskets or even deprivation of liberty for cases of domestic violence no longer meet social expectations; nowadays, accountability, dialogue and pedagogical measures are required, capable of producing comfort to the parties directly involved and, in addition, to the community where the episode is inserted.

In Brazil, the Maria da Penha Law redesigned the State's participation in the issue, establishing new paradigms for public policies in the area of combating violence against women, and poses the challenge to the Justice System of structuring itself to respond to this demanding social demand. .

It is in this context that work with male perpetrators of violence emerges as one of the most relevant subjects, who, through different models of approach, seek to provide a pedagogical, concrete and transformative response aimed at changing the spiral of violence against women in Brazil.
